My Experiences so Far

Yesterday was insane. I've never been chased down by so many little kids in my life. Jasmine repeatedly pulled me out from the bottom of large piles of kids after I would retrieve the ball so they could continue playing "matagente" (the translator tells me it means "kill people"), but they were having fun with it, which is all that matters.

Today was our first day at the zoo with the girls, we'll be taking the boys tomorrow. It went very well; the kids had a lot of fun exploring the zoo and seeing new animals and we didn't lose any of them or have any accidents.

I've been so blessed to see how the kids have reacted while we have been around. They share everything they have, which is almost nothing and they're always smiling and having a good time, when compared to our standards, they have no reason to do so.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the week, learning more Spanish and continuing to hang out with the kids; its going to be awesome. Continue to pray for the trip!
