It's been an amazing week here in Lima and a true blessing to work with the children here in the community. The two days we spent at the zoo were a blessing and a curse, trying to maintain control over 300+ boys and girls, but it was fun to watch their reactions when they saw the animals. We met an interesting little boy named Jorge "Purple Pants". He ran into us when we were playing crab soccer on Monday and he has created a bond between us, and I'm glad I got the chance to meet him. He requires special attention and was abandoned by his father at the orphanage, but he truly is a sweet kid. It will be a bittersweet parting tomorrow, but I'm glad I got the chance to maintain bonds between all of these wonderful kids. :)
